1. All-fuels energy analysis and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory

Summary:

In 2022, Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area hired WSC to conduct an all-fuels energy analysis and emissions inventory (Scopes 1 and 2) for the entire ski resort and for summer and winter operations. Bogus’ ultimate goal is to lower operational costs and improve climate and mountain stewardship. In doing so, they will also have the benefit of addressing climate concerns and attracting staff who are dedicated and committed to their  mission: “to provide affordable, accessible, and fun year-round mountain recreation and education to the Treasure Valley.”

WSC supported Bogus in setting up an Energy Star Portfolio Manager and has begun data tracking to set-up a greenhouse gas emissions inventory. Following the inventory, WSC will support Bogus in creating an emissions reduction roadmap to guide the ski resort in furthering their goals of climate and mountain stewardship.
